Default Door speakers

So I need to get me some new speakers. i believe i only have 4, one in each door and one on each side for back seat.

The driver side front door and the passenger side back seat speakers are out.

Which one will work?

If anyone knows a good i net site to order or if i can go to best buy and grab some.

i want good sound. but no plans of any subs but if they kick a little that would be great.

Will they hook right up with stock wires?

i have ordered some things from onlinecarstereo.com they have a very big selection and great prices. Stock replacements should wire right up.

Thumbs up

There are 6x9's in the doors from the factory but they are very shallow compared to aftermarket ones so you have to be carefull on which ones to get. I put Alpine SPS 6x9's in mine and used the spacer that came with them, I ordered them from www.crutchfield.com. I also replaced the rear ones with Alpines, Im very satisfied with them and all I have is a JVC headunit and the speakers no sub..

Onlinecarstereo has the best prices, but call first to make sure they have everything in stock. Ordered all the stuff for my upgrade through them, and they shipped the order without telling me the amp I planned everything around was on back order. While they didn't charge me for the amp, still annoying to shop a site with 'online' in the name, but won't bother to tell you anything is out of stock on their web page.

You should have 6x9's up front, 5.25's in the rear. 6.5's will fit in the rear without any mods.

one questions, do you have the factory 'infinity' system, with tweeters on the windshield pillars? If you do, wiring is a bit different because of the built in amplifiers.

i do not have the have the speakers in the pillars.

I took the door panel off to make sure it was the stock speaker and it doesnt look aftermarket. The front driverside door only has two wires running to it which are red and green.

It has a plug so that you can unhook the speaker and put a new one right in. So if i was to get new ones i would have to find the ones that use the same plug correct?

Its a good thing you asked that, i was online looking at speakers it was asking if i had the infinity system and i got confused on if i did or not. But now i know what to order when i do...

One thing i do need is a new door. I can hardly get the door panel off because the rust has gone right all the way threw the bottom of the door and when i try to pry on the christmas tree type pins the door flexs to much. and when i take the door panel off i can see right to the cement

You won't find any that use the same plug. Just cut the plug off and put whatever connection you need to connect to the new speakers. Since you don't have the infinity system, should be pretty easy to just cut the old connectors off and pop in some new ones.

watch out for the height of the speaker, as well as the depth.
too much height and the door panel will bulge out too much.
too much depth and you'll hit the window frame.

pioneers tend to be too tall.

Here's what the Infinity speaker amps look like:

They mount to the back of the stock speakers and are pretty easy to spot.
