From the looks of it, it slides on the end of your arm rest or under it. Either way looks like a winner! I'm going to keep it in mind.

Edit:
Here is a better look. It does slide over the end of the arm rest and you lock it in by closing your arm rest. I'm going to get it. Hope it helps anyone if they are having the same issues.

Well shoot if the cupholder is your only concern then that is nothing. That link you have above is the cupholder I have...You can kinda see it in the pic below.

My only caution would be if you really want the display unit to be that low to the ground?!? where the factory cupholder is....your eyes would be WAY off from road view.

Anyway have fun with the pic below:

^ I have seen a flip out dash done on the pre-98 dashes. I personally didn't care for the setup. The one that I have seen was on a buddy of mine. He had to totally cut out the ashtray, and the cig lighter to make it work the way he wanted. He did lose the cup holders, but imo the cup holders on these suck. It wont even hold your beer with out spilling it.

You might do a search around here, I think iwhitne bulit a cup holder to sit in the floor of his truck.....
