Default Dash calibration

Ok so sometimes I swear I am the biggest idiot. I took my dash out ot clean it because I swear the truck lived its whole life on dirt roads, the needles were getting in the way and i didnt want to break them so I wrote down where each one was and removed them but the shafts must have moved around because now none of them are right. How do I fix this
thanks

I'm thinking if you put the panel back in without the clear plastic cover on, and start the truck and get it to operating temp and let the gauges go to where they would normally be, then put the needles back on. They only go on one way or 180 out.
