need a transmission for a 5.2 used? or remanufactured?..

Cool need a transmission for a 5.2 used? or remanufactured?..

i just bought this truck. 98 1500 4x4 with 5.2.my uncle rebuilt the transmission cause i was broke when i bought it. it broke again after 50 miles... i brought to a shop now in search of a gurantee. the guy said around $1800 now he is telling me $2600. i cant afford it. i told him just put in a used tranny no guarntee then. he says he cant find one. where can i get one i live in middletown ny. or what should i do is there a cheap remanufactured somewhere?

well i have a 98 1500 4x4 and i just bought a rebuilt from a company in phoenix. It cost $750, $100 for the torque converter and $140 for the shipping unfortunately my transmission is currently being installed and i dont know if it is a good buy or not...

Default Will a 97 tranny fit a 98?

i found 97 5.2 1500 4x4 that has a tranny with only 30k on it for $400. it a short bed and regular cab. I have a 98 5.2 1500 4x4 extra cab full bed. Will the tranny fit? i heard they are both electronic tranny's? Please help i dont want to miss the deal...

If it's the 46 RE and yours also is it should fit. I'm not sure what year they switched from the 46RH to the 46RH. The RE is the electronically controlled one.

i think the electronic started in 97 is that the only thing i need to know? it will fit for sure?

well i bought the 97 46re tranny the dealer said it is not an exact match. mine is a 46re. i was told i could just change my flywheel and torque convertor to the parts from the 97. is this correct is there anything else to do?
