Default Flex fan - Is it reverse?

My dodge ram has a serp belt and I understand if i buy a flex fan it has to be reverse one. Is this correct or will the reg flex fan go in a 5.2l 2000 4x4?

thx

If your fan rotates counter clockwise looking at it from the front, you MUST use a revers flex fan. If you dont your truck will overheat like crazy! (Ive done this once on a Mustang..OOps). If you're not sure which way it rotates, follow the belt from the crank to the fan and figure out which way it spins, remember the engine runs clockwise(from the front)

Just curious, but why would you want to install a flex fan, other than looks? There's a good reason that the switch was made to clutch fans 30 odd years ago.
