Why isn't my mpg increasing??

+1 on if the old plugs were sparking ok, then the new one's will do the same and there will be no effect.

maybe it's the 5in lift = more drag

or it could be the larger tires = more power required to start and stop

or it could be your gears = 3.55 are the best for fuel economy in our 2nd gen rams

and the rest of your mods (like mine) allow more air into the engine - more air = more gas

I'm currently getting 15-17mpg

hahaha....yeah i know. im not complaining....much. im running at 2000 rpm at 60mph...i love the power band on i have though....its a double edged sword

maybe if i get bigger tires, like 37's, ill get better gas mileage

Those are the best gears if you have stock tire size. 265s or 285s, 3.92s would probably be better for MPG, than you move on to 4.10s with bigger tires, and so on.

It also depends a lot on your tires. Less rolling resistance, +MPG. More rolling resistance, -MPG.

Yeah, that's what I thought you guys would say. I figured it was worth an ask since the last time I replaced them on my old 96 Ram, not 4X4, It jumped from twelve to sixteen. Thanks for the comforting words.
