Personally, I think it would be a waste of time on a stock engine.

Seems like a waste to me. They over complicated the whole thing. And I highly doubt it is going to gain any hp like that.

why do we have a pcv valve on one side and a breather on the other? why not one or the other on both sides?

I believe the pvc has the vacuum and pulls the air through the breather on the other side creating a loop to remove the excess gases from the pistons and what ever blow by happens.

I may be wrong, just how i think it works.

superduper powered pcv - maybe for an alcohol burning dragster....
BS on anything else.

^^97 is correct. you want to pull clean, filtered air through the motor.
