Default Jus trying to see wat i can get

I have a 94 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd. It has a 318ci(5.2L) v8 in it with a auto tranny. I wna start upgrading it but most of the performance parts for it are exspensive. So im wondering what all i can do to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The truck has 209000 miles on it and besides the cat and ypipe, rebuilt tranny , tires and normal maintence the truck is original and the engine hasnt been rebuilt yet. I had the tranny rebuilt at 204000 miles. It has disk brakes up front and drums in the rear. Coils up front and leaf springs in rear.

I also need to get the rear end replaced in it since its going bad on me cause when im driving its louder then the exhaust note lol. Also what kind of shocks are good for these trucks since mine are completely shot. Im also wondering where i can get a good rear bumper (since i was rear ended last year) and a dash (since mine is in peices) from.

I also have a question. When driving with my lights on, if i use the low beams everythings ok until i use the high beams. After about 20min of the high beams being on my lights will start flashing and will go out. Now the switch for the lights is brand new so i know thats not it. But im wondering if anyone else has this problem before. Also wondering if anyone have had problems with the passenger side window and lock switches going out on them cause i have power windows and locks and the switches no longer work on the passenger side except for the fact that u can only roll the window up using the switch on the passenger side.

Again any help that i can get would be highly apreciated. Thank you for your time

Well IMO, with that many miles, your better off thinking about a good rebuild.

For the high beams it could be a rely getting hot and failing.

Ah, I had the same problem with my window switch. The little circuit board seems to go out after a while. You can find replacements for cheap on eBay. That solved my problem.

If your in debt and have no savings. Upgrades are that last thing you need to be thinking about.

Well its not really upgrading to me. Its more like fixing wat needs to be fixed since most of the exhaust and some parts of the frame and such are rusted. Also i gotta clean my tb once a month cause it gets bad and it burns my air filter. Now matter where i go a air filter is 44dollars for my truck.

I just took my truck into the shop the other day to get tires put on cause my old set was wearing bald. Now ive been runnin smaller tires then what came with my truck originaly. When i got the truck every tire including the spare was 245/75/R16. So when i replaced my tires the first time i put on 245/75/R16 All terrains which wore out fast when i had the alignment problem. Well that size tire is exspensive used around here so i had to go with something else. I found this guy with a ford explorer and had 4 tires for sale at 50 dollars. The size was 235/70/R16. And then my mom just got new tires on her f150 so i got hers which are also 235/75/R16. ( that was useless info for yall but i wanted to tell you anyways.) Anyways sometime last year when i had my a/t's on and the wear was bad i had an accident when it was raining. My truck slid and hit a median and i had to replace the whole front suspension cause it was broke. And when i wrecked it the front hit first but when the back end caught up i had both the back tires on this median. Make a long story short i had to replace the complete front suspension, tires, and transmission linkage. Anyways when i went into the shop the other day i was told that ive been riding on 2 bent rims in the rear. Now my mechanic is my brother-in-law so i trust him cause besides me, hes the only one that touches my truck. Now most of the dodge ram trucks like mine have the sport wheels. But i cant seem to find any wheels like mine in any junkyard or online site. So i was wondering if anyone knows where i can find the stock steel wheels that came on these trucks. I can tell the wheels are bent cause i can feel them shake when im driving down the road even tho they are on the rear of my truck.

Try JC Whitney for the dash its where i got mine. Ebay is usually good for bumpers. Sounds like you might have a ground problem with lights that was our problem on our '95, we also had a problem with window and door switch and it was the peice that actually sits in the door i think you can pick one up on ebay or jcwhitney or like 25 bucks.
