Default Cam retainer plate?

I'm talking about the thing that bolts to the block that holds the cam in. I think its called the cam retainer but I might me wrong. Anyway I read somewhere that it should be replaced when you replace the cam. I think what I read said something about certain types should be changed others didn't need to be. Should I replace mine? If so what is the actual name for it so I can look it up

I don't think you need to replace it, but it's called a thrust plate .

It might be dealer only, so cheap is not the right word.

Sweet thanks. I guess I'll have to throw that on the order with the intake. I also will have to place that order sooner then I thought so that's here.

I like how it shows bolts in the pic but says "no fastners included"

That was the only thing that confused me. I would call Hughes just to check.

they have 3 listed on their site. Two say just plate and the other is the one you posted. I think they just copied and pasted the same on all the listings.

I called a dealer and they said 7.85 for the plate. After looking at Hughes' site I'm wondering if the dealer is for the plate only.

I also asked for a price on the vc gromment kit. Hughes wants 9.25 dealer wants 9.05. for 20 cents I'll probably just order it through Hughes.

While I was at it I threw the the airgap in my cart. 619.74 without shipping. I havent checked out yet though

I would go to the Dealer for the Thrush plate and Valve cover grommets. Mopar or Un-identified?
