Default ball joints

so i jacked up the front end today to check my ball joints one more time. this time i used a bar under the tire instead of trying to move the tire by hand and sure enough all 4 ball joints in the front were wearing; hence why the outter edge of my tires were wearing. so i started shopping. first at advanced auto....moog ball joints were way to expensive there for my taste, so i came home and started searchin part numbers for both upper and lower joints.... between ebay and amazon i paid a total, with shipping, $150 for all four moog ball joints!!!!!! screw the stores.... it pays to shop around

Mikey,

When you get the new ball joints in, please write back on this thread and let everyone know how it rides.

I have 155k on my truck and I'm betting it's time for ball joints, poly bushings, etc...

Also, why did you decide to go with MOOG vs OEM replacements?

I thought the only way to check for bad ball joints was if there was a load on them? Or was that wheel bearings? Or am I just mistaken altogether?
