okay so i just scored a used throttle body today and im up in the air about what to do , i know many people went fastman, and i know alot of people have modded their own...but has anyone ever compared the two? are the gains about the same? i just want to do what will be best and im not sure of which route to take

As far as I know you won't be able to mod it completely like Fastman does. You'll need butterflies too. But I know other people on here have tried it and liked the results from just opening up the ports .

And btw, now that you have another TB, you can send it to Fastman and save the core charge.

well seeing that you have a 5.2 like me i just moded mine

because for the 5.2 fastman say get a 50mm, well stock butterflies are so damn close to 50m( when i measure mine with a bad scale it was like 49.5mm, but we are talking mm thats like a hair)

the way i looked at it was $10 for a poor man, or 200-300 for a fastman,,,, well i'm a poor man

okay well i suppose ill just mod this one...and if it doesnt do anything for me ill just save up for a fastman...i just started cutting on it tonight then it got too dark so tomorrow hopefully ill have all the walls cut and ill start looking for a machine shop on monday...does anyone know what a job like that would run? just to bore it to a solid 50mm

i obviously removed everything from the throttle body when i got it like sensors and all that but i just want to make sure....i was cleaning a little bit and i accidentally dropped it in PLENTY of water...will it still be cool? this is what all was dropped
