What I found interesting is that there was almost zero increase in torque which would imply that there would be no real benefit if you tow with your truck at 2300 rpm. I would have liked to see a stock MPI ram engine on that dyno to see the torque. I remember reading an article about IDA automotive that developed a piggyback sensor multiplier which utilized the stock PCM for a few hundred bucks. He bumped a stock 2001 5.9 durango by 20 hp and 49 ft-lbs at the rear wheels. The only problem was that this occured around 4400 rpm and the stock configuration still had 45ft-lbs more below 3000 rpm. Again if towing (at 2300 rpm), it would appear that the stock system would be far superior.

Yes, it seems that this is so. Besides, this system calls for a lot ($2000+) of mulah, which I was planning to do when I rebuilt her anyway, but I can't justify this when my bottom end may not hold it. Good info, though!!

$2,500-3,000... but you also have alot of other costs associated with doing a stroker

Nice build up if you were throwing it in something under 6,000 lbs. Maybe a Dart or Duster would reap those benifits of low torque-high Hp. Unfortunatly, it takes alot of low end torque to get anything heavy rolling. A 408 stroker would keep the rpm's down and the torque up, maintaining engine life. When you rap out these engines at high rpm's to get your power, you decrease the life of the motor. That's why a diesel last 400k easy, low rpm's-high torque. Like I said, nice build up, but not for my truck.
