Default Dodge ram 1500 after compression test

Hello everybody

Just trying to find out what is wrong with my truck.
it was burning oil so i had my mechanic do a compression test on it all the cylinders were good except the number 2 spark plug it was at 100 and the rest were at 125 so we thought maybe the truck valve was stuck so he put some sea foam in the intake vaccum line and then i went to auto and also put a new pcv valve on it and it starts to hestitates like it almost wants to back fire it shakes and loss of power. but once into second it is fine. i check all the wires to make sure the firing order was right and it is. any ideas what it could be it is a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 5.2L 2WD with only 112,000 miles

did you finish burning all of the sea foam that you added? It's VERY common for the truck to stumble and hesitate when you do a sea foam treatment.

If theres any in the gas , can still cause it. Also , is there alot of blow by , that can be worn rings ,which can in turn lead to burning of smoke. These trucks are also common of cylander head cracking. Which i think after powerwashing my engine this week that i have, TIme for aluminum cyalnder heads *face palm*

Also , see if u can run a test to see if you have a blown Plenium gasket.

Alright I did the Plenium gasket vaccum test and it hung out at 1.5 for a sec then it started climbing to 3 which the site said to shut off when it gets to that point so that means the plenium gasket is bad?

no, i think you read the test backwards.
if pressure builds up in the crankcase, the plenum is good.
if pressure does not build, and a vacuum exists, the plenum is leaking.

10. If the attached vacuum I pressure gauge does not indicate that a vacuum is present in the engine crankcase, then the intake manifold plenum pan gasket is good and no further internal engine vacuum leak diagnosis is required.

here's my test...
1. is it a dodge 318/360 ?
2. does it have a hughes plate yet ? if not - its going to leak, now or someday...

I figured something was not right I just looked at my gauge it was pressure build up not vaccum so the plenuim is good. Any chance that it could be a stuck valve because the the front spark plug compression was only 100 and the rest were 125 or do you think it could be a worn piston ring im leaning away from that because it only has 112,000 but than again anything is possible. any ideas what else it could be or further test i can try.

thanks to the guy about the sea foam after driving it alittle more the truck was running great..
