im wanting to read the ses light myself, what type of computer does this truck have, i have an obd1 cable for a 94 trans am, is the 94 dodge truck an obd1 computer?

 

Yes... but back then the plugs were different for different make vehicles. So chances are it wont work.

 

you can read the code without one......turn your key on and off 3 times fast.....check engine light will come on then go off.......then it will flash so many times then pause, then flash again.....that will give you a 2 digit code.....it can flash more than one code also and at the end it flashes 55 i believe......if youre unsure of the #, do it again....it can get confusing keeping up with the flashes....when youre done, unhook your battery and try to start the truck for 30sec or so to clear them
