Ok, this thread went off-topic, but I went with a 3" lift, replaced the stock coil, replaced the shox and had an alignment....all for $450 out the door. Not bad if you ask me. Here's some pix of the work. Click on pix to make em slightly bigger. Sorry I couldn't find my before/after pic even tough I know I took one, damn camera.

Actually its my work truck....2wd Chevy diesel. If he does get stuck, it better be close to where I'm working!

Well we know it has the down low to pull him out. By a strap. Unless yr truck has chains in it. Or you could get a set of tire chains. They do good in the mud so I have been told.
