I get that part of it. My point is that if you are sitting at a certain height with your springs and you add a solid object such as a spacer block then you have to raise the vehicle by that amount. It seems only logical that that would be the case. If I am wrong please explain to me what I am missing.

Everything I've seen said the spacers aren't compatible. Maybe the 2500 springs are bigger around? Anyway, it's still a matter of finding a spacer 3". 2" leveling kits are plentiful, even for the 2500.

Anyways, a lot of the spacers I've been seeing are metal, and I've seen them in 4" lifts. So, unless someone is selling parts out of a lift kit, I'll just get some made. If I was still in WA I could have had a friend make them at work, I would just have to weld the pieces together.

Ya. I think I'll buy a leveling kit from the auto parts store (The Tuff Country uses metal spacers), measure the parts (adding the extra inch of pipe so I get 3") then return the leveling kit. Haha. At my old job we had the kit in stock, I should have thought of this before, and measured everything.

Spacers are the same for half tons, 3/4 tons, and 1 tons. Even for the 3rd gen 3/4 ton and 1 tons.

Heres some 3" spacers http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-inc...spagenameZWDVW

There ya go a half ton truck with one ton springs so they have to work by my best guess. If Olyelr can run those springs then the spacers have to work. Thanks Olyelr, I thought I was losing my mind for a minute. I have owned and lifted and worked on so many different makes and models that I tend to forget how each one is set up from time to time.

Are you still using the stock control arms and steering? Thats too much lift for that stuff.

Thanks. It was probably the urethane spacers that were for 1500 only, because the weight would squish them (my best guess). Anyways, it all makes sense now.

On the site, they strongly recommend longer control arms, longer shocks, a 3in drop track bar bracket, and 3in drop Sway Bar Brackets. Longer shocks I'm okay with, I was planning on replacing my shocks anyway. is the other stuff necessary for only 3"?

Also, how universal are AALs?
