Default steering problem

When I had my truck aligned, I was told that something in the back end was bent, so with the alignment off in the front my truck was wandering to the right. It seemed to be fine, but I started noticing that the truck would pull to the left, then pull to the right. It would switch like every mile or so! It was even worse towing a trailer.

Um I would say to get whatever is bent in the back end fixed and have it realigned. Then you will know whether or not the front end is ok.

+1^ on finding a place that can tell you what is bent. You could have a bent wheel, axle, housing. There are many things that could be wrong. I would definitely go to a quality alignment shop and get another opinion.

Ya. I wish I was back in WA, I had a friend with his own alignment shop. The guy that looked at my truck was a co-worker at Les Schwab, and it's kinda hit and miss with getting someone that knows what they're doing. No one there had vast experience with trucks, unfortunately. I'll ahve to find someone down here in San Diego.

Just stop at a few repair shops and see who they use for alignments. You'll find out quick who's good.

Find a 4 wheel shop where the guys know what they are looking at. I have a friend who works in a truck shop who does my alignments. That is all he works on is trucks.

Ya that's a good idea. I'll check in at local 4x4 shops, they should be able to check it or know where to take it. Thanks.
