Default Getting new shoes... opinions???

Ok, well my great super sport tires are bare... didn't even see a full 20,000 miles out of them.
Our 1 ton is in need of tires too, and we found a tire shop that will mount and balance the tires for 144 a tire.
They are cooper discoverers, load range E.
For those that have ran these tires before, how did you like them?

Also, we had the same coopers on the 1- ton and they went for 60,000 so I am kinda torn. On one hand these tires seem to last a good while, but I am not a fan of all season tires....

That's why they lasted 60k is because they are all seasons. Anything with a wider tread pattern or softer compound designed for any kind of offroading whatsoever will wear off quicker. I personally love the General Grabber AT2 tires. They are an all terrain tire that wears like iron and have great traction in all types of terrain including rain at speed. Just a thought for you to consider. Depending what size you need you can get them for the same price as you quoted the other tires at if not cheaper.

well looking at a 245/75 tire... just stock specs.
I guess I am going to have to sacrifice the aggressive tread for mileage. Or I might see if I can score a set of the cheap steel wheels and throw and aggressive treaded tire on it.
I kinda like the cooper's though; much better than the Mich X radials I had before these supersports..

I appreciate the help, but tires are the one thing I wont buy on the net. I prefer talking to people in person about tire issues. I will browse around though...
Also I havent had very good luck with general tires... wear a little fast themselves IMO
Thanks though

Ok no big deal. I know when I was looking for mine(255/70/16) NTB wanted almost 900 bucks to buy them mount/balance. I paid 488 + another 250 and change for them to mount and balance a 5yr unlimited alignments. My dad talked them down like 30 bucks or sow.
