add another on the other side.
no - don't cut holes in the bumper, it looks ragged and $hitty.
consider moving them in close beside the receiver, and the receiver might offer some protection from catching and dragging.

kindschi, do a search on viper and you'll see where he just went off the deep end over nothing.

 

This is what i did with mine. Great for backing and up to a trailer at night.


Just took out the two bolts on the ends and slid the braket in, then put the bolts back in.

 

Wasnt much to see. It all happened on the "rollpan" thread a few weeks ago. One of the admins was watching, and just got sick of his BS.

 

im gomma mount some lights like that on mine when i build the new bumper, and im gonna bend up some steel to make hoops that go under them for extra protection

Yeah, but Viper deserved it many times over.

I've debated adding lights below my rear bumper many times, but I just know the moment I do, someone will rear end me and take them out.

 

I have been thinking about this but it goes in the 7 pin which would need to be moved to work right. Or one of them recon led light bars for under the tail gate.
