Boost Valve in 46re transmission
I was curious if anyone can explain to me the function of the boost valve in the valve body on the 46re transmission. I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with the 46re and i was removing the valve body to install a b&m transpak shift kit. Upon getting the valve body on the work bench and looking it over i noticed that the Boost valve retainer was broken. I need to find a replacement part for this. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, and if they could explain to me what the function is. Thanks!

The boost valve boosts fluid pressure during OD operation. Superior makes a replacement part; the P/N is K065. That's a Zero, not an "Oh". Check out these threads for some help:
