cig and power point destroys anything pluged into them
everytime i plug something into my cig lighter or power plug thing it kills it, i think its surging, so far it ask murdered 3 car chargers, and my iphone
what could be the problem, but of course the pop out cig lighter works

Test it with a multimeter and see what kind of voltage it is putting out. The main part of the lighter or PP is the ground side and the little tab in the center at the back is the hot side. If your meter is capable of it you could check for amps as well. If you have kids check for change burried in the sockets.lol

change/coins should produce a short and blow a fuse or melt some wires.
^check voltage, although i wouldn't expect more than 14-15 volts, which should be fine.
be aware that most devices which accept a usb cable is 5 volts, and come with special car charges that step down 12 to 5. hardwiring in 12 volts to them is a killer load.
