I was recently more amaziated than usual with stuff I read on the internet. Here's the link http://www.vichubbard.com/auto-part-...odge-3715.html
and here's the part I need help with:
"Your vehicle is more dynamic than you think. While you might have driven off the dealer lot 16 months ago, the major automakers (Dodge, GM, and Ford) continue to make small changes to your vehicle's computer system in order to keep your car or truck running as well as possible. Each time you take your automobile to the dealership for regular maintenance, the technicians reflash your vehicle computer with the latest calibrations available. Why? Ford, Dodge, and GM continuously test vehicles on the road for emissions compliance and drivability. As they develop different calibrations - the OEMs release these files to their ]dealership network for regular maintenance reflashes."
I know there are TSB's to fix problems and bad designs with a new flash BUT anyone ever gone to the dealer for routine maintenance like an oil change or brakes and got the courtesy reflash with the latest calibrations?
Is vichubbard blowing dope smoke?

I am going to lean towards saying it is a load. When I requested that my pcm be updated two years ago because I had an issue with hypertech, they told me there was a trans update available too. Thing is... I had to pay for the updates so I doubt it is true.
