Ok, well i wanna lift my truck sooner or later, i have a 96 dodge ram 1500 with the 318 in it, i want to give it a 7-10" lift with about 37's i think its around a 37" inch mudders i want but not sure anyhow wat do u guys think about it i rlly dont know if it would be good or not but it looks soo sweet

 

Check out pavementsucks.com they have some people with large lifts on there Rams. Are you planning to use this as a daily driver? If so I wouldn't lift it that high. The only things I think it would be good for would be mud bogging and looks and not really looks as I prefer lifted trucks to be able to actually go offroad. I'm not sure how well the 318 would turn those tires but I guess it would well enough.

 

look at the sky jacker kits, and plan o changing your gears to at least 456 when those 37s go on

 

if you want to only go to 37" tires all you really need is around 6-6.5" of lift. you will need to put on a front leveling kit but thats only about 100 extra bucks. if you stay with 6.5" lift Fabtech makes an extremly good kit. it is aorund $1600 bucks but well worth it. plus it can still be an everyday driver. but moparmania was right about changing your gears especiallyt with your 318. hope this helped.

 

Yeah I would probably look for a Skyjacker kit they seem to be the preffered brand. Also what I ran.

 

Superlift supposedly makes really good kits. I'm in the process of installing one on my Ram so I can't quite give opinions yet. Skyjacker stuff is a lot more expensive as far as I remember. If you only want 37s you can get away with the Superlift 5 inch kit (supposedly really raises it over 6 inches) and a small body lift.
