Default wheel spacers

i was thinking about getting these 2" wheel spacers, i know they look nice, but do they effect steering, handling, ride, or fuel economy?

i dont have any personal experience, but ive heard that it puts more strain on stuff like your ball joints and your lugs......ride should be the same as before i reckon and as for mpgs i dont think the extra 4" of width are gonna hurt anything on our trucks.....is this for a 4x4 or 2.......i wouldn't be too scared an a 4x2, but on a 4x4 that gets used i wouldnt do it

They will put extra stress on the hub assemblies and ball joints and cause premature wear but unless you are gonna use a very thick spacer you should be fine. I wouldn't offroad with them but that is my personal preference. I just don't like the idea of having one pull through the studs.

i run 2" behind a set of corvette wheels on my camaro. you will experiance what is called "scrub steer", google it. and yes, it will prematurely wear out balljoints and bearings.

Yep good point Helms. I forgot about scrub steer. they will add stress on your studs if you try to do any serious offroading too. If you get the wheels spinning and hit solid ground while they are a spinnin you could snap the studs.
