According to Hughes' flowbench, the 2.02 EQ's out-flow the 2.02 R/T heads.

without sounding too ignorant here (as im used to motorcycle engines, not v8's) do you think its worth some of the headache youve had with the heads for the perf. gain? would i be better off to head to the wreckers and pick up a set to p/p myself? im starting to think that going into the motor and rearranging stuff is gonna lead to more problems down the road, like it did with your truck, and i rely on my truck too much as a solid work truck and transportation. id just hate to sink a couple grand and several bottles of rum (ahem) into the engine only to have it get too quirky for my patience level, and again considering how much i need my truck on a day to day basis. in a perfect world my bikes would run perfect all the time and never need to be moved by a truck but sadly this is hardly the case...

I didn't have any issues with the replacement heads. It was the stockers that were the issue. The EQ's have been fine for me.

cool. good to know. im starting to think im having trouble with a plenum gasket, or some similar vacuum leak, it surges on idle alot, and seems quite completely gutless, and makes an almost turbo-esque hiss when under heavy throttle, and today while driving actually while turning it stalled out, leaving me to just barely miss an oncoming car while the steering went to "reserved for mike tysons workout sessions" mode.
