Default Parking Brake Release handle - 1998 Ram 4x4

Hey guys,

its been 2 weeks of owning this truck and still loving it. Thanks again for all the posts in this forum. Really helps alot

my next project is my parking brake but my release handle/lever is not attached to the wire. I guess its broken off or missing a piece. Anyone know where i can purchase a replacement release handle on the net?

Junkyard is quite far from me would rather just order a new one.

thanks
-O

Is the handle mechanism broke, or the end of the cable? If it the handle part itself, thats dealer or JY. If it is the cable , I believe you can purchase those from an auto parts store, IIRC.

clamp a small pair of vise grips on the end of the cable and call it fixed.

I wish it was that easy. But i need to get a inspection sticker. That won't pass.

Ordered the new release lever/handle from the stealer ship. Only cost 25 bucks.

many thanks guys. Stupid rain is putting a damper in fixing her.
