Default 97' ram tire question

Hey guys, I'm brand new here, just bought my first pick up and I'm loving being a pickup man, haha. Its a 97' ram 1500 extended 4x4 with the 5.2. It needs new tires and its got 265-75-16s on it and my question is, what are my options for going a little bigger, I still want to use the truck for highway driving and everything else but same as everyone, I want a badass looking truck. Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks.

well you can put 33in tires or (285/75/16 or 255/85/16) they work out to be close to 33
http://www.onlineconversion.com/tire...conversion.htm

you can run the biggest tires you want but you will need to lift it and changes the gears

if you have 3.55 gears 33's is most likely the biggest you want to go

im sure some 4x4 guy will say something

Yep, 33's on stock gears. I was running 35's for a bit and the were to heavy. You can buy a All Terrain tire in almost any size these days so you could keep the size you have on there now just keep in mind that AT tires are usually more expensive and wear quicker on pavement than street tires do.

Go to your local tire guys, not walmart, and let them know what you want and what you wanna do and they can show you different tires from the whole price range.

285-75/16 is the biggest you should go, and its also the most economical bigger tire because its so common. the odd-***** will cost more. this size is also available in load range D and E for better hauling. they come in street, all-terr, or mud.
