haha i mean it cant be any harder than replacing an oil pump thats about all ive done on a dodge
after i do this will i notice it running a whole lot better?

give it a full day if you never done it. And get some baggies, tape and a sharpie and mark everything! A picture of each step as you go can really help you to reassemble it later.

i have 130xxx and dont have a leak any trucks on here with higher milage that never had a leak, im hoping not to have a leak till i get a airgap, but i need ankle surgery so it will be a while

And if it was leaking, have the cat tested ASAP after you fix it.

How did you test it? By looking down the TB or http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/09-05-00.htm

sorry to jack your thread, but how do you know you need to replace your plenum gasket? what are the symtoms with the engine running irregular? im not sure if the previous owner replaced it or not. it doesnt burn any oil. i have looked down the intake a while back to look for oil too, but nothing.
