Hey rumble, do you have a junk yard near you anywhere? If so go and take the s bolt off of a gm make blazer or jimmy and you have a pre bent bolt to install without fabbing it up. It is the right size too. I took the one off my buddies blazer and tried it. Perfect fit. You just need to get a nut to lock it in place when you get it facing in the right direction.

I know that it is easy to make the s bolt but with your apprehensiveness in attempting it I figured that I would pass along that tid bit of info. I posed the question here the other day and then low and behold my buddy shows up here with his blazer and I just went over popped his hood and took his aircleaner apart. You should have seen the look on his face. Once he saw what I was up to he was into it then. Now I gotta find me a nice cast aluminum aircleaner assembly and put a K&N in it.
