tranny is out

Default tranny is out

ok so i just lost 3rd 4th and reverse. weird thing is when i put it between park and reverse it pulls into drive but there is a clanking noise. but anyways i found a tranny out of a 2001 ram 4x4 5.2 but mine is a 5.9 . is it the same tranny?

when you open the hood of the donor truck, look straight up, you should be able to see a tag or something that says what transmission it has in it. 46re is what you're looking for i believe, correct me if im wrong

The trany is the same, you need to keep your torque converter as one engine is internally balanced and the other is externally balanced. They weld weights on the torque converter for the externally balanced motor.

Dont reuse the old torque converter.
