Couple questions for you guys
I have a couple questions I hope you guys can answer for me.
1. Would a hood poped (closed for the most part but not latched) cause water to get in the cab? Everytime it rains I get a pool on the passenger side floor. Nothing else gets wet just that side on the floor.
2. WTF is this and what does it do?

3. Because the leak mentioned in #1. My alt always seems to be laying in water. I put it up today but will the past times hurt it? I know its not good for it but will it still work or should I look for a new one?

Its not the windshield seal
rumble same with mine. Only other thing I can think is my cb ant wire. I never had a problem with it before though so I really have a hard time believing its that.
Purple whats the point in that? Whats it do? Do I need it?

there is no good reason for water to leak from under the hood into the cab. if it leaked like that, then it would also do it whenever you drove in the rain and road spray splashed up.
passenger side leak in the summer time is often a stopped up A/C drain. there is a drain tube coming through the firewall on passenger side, behind the dryer canister thing. its about 1/2" tube. slide a wire or coat hanger or wire tie into it to make sure its not stopped up. also seal the firewall around the outside of the tube with black rtv.
another possibility is the door seals.
another possibility is the 3rd brake light.

The point is to measure the temperature of the battery. It measures the temperature of your battery. If it was there when you tore the truck apart, I guess you need it. Why would you take it out anyway?
But seriously, if I was near a FSM I could tell you what the main purpose of it is.

My truck has no engine so the AC doesn't run.
Could be the door seals but why would it just start? I guess sitting could have an effect on it. Maybe the way the truck is sitting has a twist on it. It didn't do it the whole time its been there though.
the back ain't wet so theres no way its the 3rd brake light
