Question will an 02 intake fit a 96

Well actually I really want to know if the injectors and sensors will swap out. I found a new complete intake for sale with the throttle body injectors and sensors, and I need to know if they will work on my truck since the over all price is much lower.

Thanks in advance for all input.

The only difference that I am aware of is that some(I forget which years) had an egr valve and some didn't. I would say that if yours doesn't have the egr valve, to just go on Advance Auto or Autozone web site and bring up two pages one each with the respective year vehicle and compare part numbers for sensors. The injectors are the same though.

Not sure on the sensors, don't know why they or the TB wouldn't fit.

However, I believe the injectors will not plug into your existing wiring harnesses. They changed to a newer style electrical connector on the newer model years, 1998 or 1999 I believe. You'd have to get adapters.

Thanks guys!

The sensors and the injectors are both coming up with different numbers on O'Rielly's Web site. So I just wanted to check with the real brains on this forum before I sold the idea to my wife.

Yep the injectors are in fact different. The rest of the components match up though. The only thing I am unsure of now is whether or not your truck has an EGR valve since the 01 doesn't.

Thank You one and all for all of the help. As it turns out I missed the opportunity. I was really looking forward to trying the different injectors too.

Any way once again Thank You
