Post info for those of you interested!!

ok so i told you all before about the O/D soleniod going out and i bought a new one and changed it out.... code cleared up for 2 days and came back. i took my truck to AAMCO and they have it for a week and a half, checking wires and such as that. What the found was the ECM was not telling the converter to lock up. so we ordered a computer. i called him back and told him to put the stock program back in with my superchips. so he did and then the computer started telling the converter to lock up. so he calls and cancels the ordered computer. At this point he checks everything again and the converter is bad so he replaces it and everything is good. best we can figure is my superchips may have a glitch in it, and its making my computer to do crazy things. not to mention my truck was idleing crazy. and now its smooth. so this bill cost me $1400 so i will be calling superchips!

Ok, so it sounds like the TC was bad! Are you saying the SC tuner caused it to go bad?

yes the TC was bad and i am saying that the superchips cause my computer not to tell it to lock up there for they spent along time searching, when they took the program out the ECU started performing right then they knew it was the TC

OK, got it. Just wondering, do you have the latest update for the SC? Because I have not updated mine since the day got it a while back, because I saw some people having probs.

Good luck on getting them to pay for anything on your truck. I bought one at their space at Carlisle about 7 years ago for my superduty that I had at the time. I went out to the parking lot, got out the directions and followed them to a T. I removed the fuel pump relay and hooked up the programmer and successfully fried my ECM on the spot. The programmer was faulty and shorted out my ECM. I took it back in to the place I got it at which was a superchips place and explained what happened and the only thing they offered to do was to replace the programmer. They wouldn't even give me back my money let alone pay for the ECM. I still have that programmer sitting in my garage as a reminder of customer service. Oh and by the way the new ECM for my truck at that time was 500 bucks. The truck was only a couple years old at the time. They ruined my weekend. I had to walk to the parts store to get a new ECM and that left me with no spending money for the rest of the weekend. Sorry for venting.
