Check the abs sensor on the rear brakes. I had to make a panic stop on my 97, and it dislodged the sensor. The brakes continued to work fine, but the random abs light drove me nuts till i pulled the rear wheels and found it loose. Quick trip to the parts store to replace it, and no more light.

Check the plugs and wires where they enter the plug assemblies. I had the same problem and wasted 40 bucks on a sensor and it turned out that it was a poor connection. Try unplugging and plugging your connectors a few times and make sure they are fully seated then reset your computer and see if it goes out.
