Looks good so far. I've got the old AVIC-D3 in my Tundra and I love it.

I am loving the nav unit, works great! I purchased a used bezel off ebay. stamping on it says it was made in 1998, had cig lighter where my airbag switch is. It comes off easy enough. The openings are a little different, it covers a little move of the light switch and dimmer, i had to trim it a little. This bezel feels like it has better material or something. I can literally pick pieces off my old bezel and make it crumble in my hands, the 98 bezel seems to be pretty solid. So if any of you have to replace your bezel's get a 98's bezel chances are its better than the new ones. I got tired of preping this piece it looks good enough, I probably couldve spent a few more hours on it but I was tired. I will put a couple more coats of paint on it and probably install it tomorrow. I also had some of dashboard bracing cracked, I took some abs cement and bonded it back together. I used the pieces of the old bezel to make the opening, gluing them on with abs cement. I even put some pieces behind the holes and filled them with fiber reinforced putty.

Your old bezel must have been junk. I have an 01, had my bezel off an on a few different times, and it is solid as can be.

Lots of ham-fisted wrenches out there who can't take the thing off without breaking it. I've had mine off a dozen times without damaging it. Just like a woman, be gentle and it will do as you ask.
