Default Installing DoubleDIN radio

I have purchased a Pioneer Avic f900bt for my 2nd gen ram. I will post pics of my install. Of course my ram has the busted dash and bezel so I am not too concerned about breaking anything. I have a coverlay on the top dash, and I am ordering a replacement bezel. anyone know of anything I could apply to the back of the bezel to strengthen it?

you have to trim about half an inch of plastic below the vents. I actually found some posts on here where some people have done this.

Double din installs on these trucks are not easy, even if you trim what you need to, and make it look good, you are going to have to figure out a way to support the back of the unit. It's tricky, but can be done. Personally, I haven't seen a 2 din install in a 2nd Gen ram, that looked professional at all. Just my opinion though...

since the bezel is broken anyway. I just got to get the radio in and supported. most all radios in chryslers are supported by 2 bolts in the front.

My stocker had three bolts IIRC. One in the upper left hand corner, one in the lower left hand corner, and one in the upper right hand.

What part of the bezel is broke?

I agree with Laramie, planned on doing a double with my stereo upgrade, but honestly thought they looked like hell in any installed pics I've seen. Curious what you come up with and if it looks better, but I just don't think the double din fits our gen very well.
