Default cruise control question.

I replaced the brake switch in my truck, and when I'm on the highway the cruise control wont work unless I put my foot under the brake pedel and lift it up. then it works fine if I lift up the pedal. I noticed the the brake switch is really loose in the bracket that holds it could that be part of the problem?

Thanks,
Jeff

Could be. I wonder if your brake lights are working too. I had to do that to get my brake lights to turn off. I had to replace the switch.

Most brake switches are easily adjustable. Just get under the dash and adjust that puppy. Tighten the holding bracket so it doesn't wobble, and make sure you have a good electrical connection on the switch end while you're at it.
