Default Cheapest and best pads and rotors

Ive been looking around and trying to find the best bang for my buck on pads and rotors for my 1999 dodge ram 2500 4x4 and figured it would probably be easiest to just ask on here. I would like to get slotted rotors.

Just go to your local parts store and get their mid range pads that have a lifetime warranty. I did that when I first got my truck, and have gone through three more sets since then. All were replaced under warranty. Fixing to get another set here soon... down to 5% wear myself.

Dang, I'm thinking of doing mine in front but I want something as good as or better than the stock brakes which are still working fine with 111k miles! God I love my nv3500

Don't get Frictionmaster ceramic pads. I got a set and after one year I got them replaced under the two year warranty. After one more year the second set was crystallized and wasn't stopping very well. Like Laramie said, get the mid range (non-ceramic) pads and they'll work well.

i cant find anything with a lifetime warranty and i want to see whats the best price for some slotted rotors. Im pretty much trying to upgrade my brakes and get some better stopping performance for the best price possible. I found performance slotted or performance cross drilled and slotted rotors for $152 and they come with free shipping and free pads from http://brakeperformance.com/site/bra...0ca3c2d1401849
Is this a good deal?

Yeah, they tend to crack. If you were going to spend the money on them, get dimpled and slotted rotors.

I use Raybestos Super Stop Pads and thier premium North American cast rotors. Never had any trouble stopping with 'em. Super stops are a severe duty commercial grade non ceramic pad.
Since the OP is in Washington state, his Schnucks or Kragen stores might carry them yet.
