Default Dash Question

I have a 96 ram 1500 and Im curious if I can put the 99 style dash in my truck?
Any help would be great

Why would you want to do that? We have a better dash. The 99 cracks like crazy!

The newer ones look better tbh. The wiring is different though, isnt it?

this really depends on what you are doing with the truck. if you are doing an all out custom... then anything is possible. but if you want to do it just because it looks better, i dont think its worth the hassle.

I highly doubt the way the two dashes mount is similar in any way, not to mention the wiring will all be completely different.

i just picked mine up at work it came in as a trade in. Its a 96 quad cab black 5.9l 4x4 its pretty stock all black and i put a set of 285/75 toyo mud tires on it.. just like that newer dash

Probably not worth the work, unless you're building some kind of show truck or something.
