Default Interrupter Switch

I want to install an interrupter switch for the parking lights on my truck, so i can signal/flash tractor trailer rigs on the highway,
signaling is used to indicate that its safe for a rig in front of you, in the other lane to merge into your lane
flashing is used as sort of a thank you for said signal

question being, has anyone installed one in their truck, and if so how hard was it, or how did you do it
both of our semi trucks have them, and it'd be nice to have on in my pickup

Sorry, but are you too lazy to reach up and flip your brights real quick?

they typically don't respond to brights on a pickup being flashed (its all done with park lights, in case ya didn't know)

Why didn't I think of that! I just turn on my light bar and they get the message.

Well just to "let ya" know, in my area truckers respond very well to a quick pop of the brights. And your not that far away from me, chances are there are a lot of the same drivers running around.

Maybe your head lights are just too damned yellowed for them to tell.

Okay, here is your advice, put your park lights on (running lights, actually) And use a self tapping volt meter to see what is hot. Find the hot wire, and wire in a simple toggle switch. Mount it on your dash or something like that.
