dodge engine compatibility

i got a 94 ram and think i'm gonna have to get a new motor, gonna rebuild, but want to find another motor to reduce down time...not to familiar with dodge, my question is will the fuel injection and sensors bolt up to say, a 1986 318 block? or a 1976 block? etc
