Default Fluid leaking form the pit arm.

So I have a leak coming from the pit arm. Well front the power steering pump? What Should I do to fix it or stop the leak? I would says its on the fast side for a leak.

There is nothing above the pitman arm except the gear box and the 2 hoses, and quite possibly a PS pump cooler. Either one of the hoses is leaking, which is possible but unlikely or the seal for the pitman arm shaft(stub shaft) is leaking. Clean the whole thing off and find where it's leaking. And IIRC , there is a DIY on replacing the seal .

no, that's a ps pump rebuild, and its a long way from the pitman arm. he's probably got a leaking steering box.

its the steering box that is leaking around where the stub shaft is. around the shaft there is a seal that blows after time because our steering shaft is not strong enough so it wobbles causing the seal to wear a groove in the then over time the seal starts to leak and then finally falling out!! i had the same thing happen in my 2500 v10 4x4 its better to replace the whole box mine was 230 bucks out the door at advance i think but i belive there is a 30 dollar core charge! if u have bigger than stock tires it puts alot more stress on the stub shaft! so if u do u might want to get the steering support bar from bd diesel has them i know!!
