I'm not real car/truck savvy but any damn autoshop around where I live charges an arm and a leg just to check out a vehicle so I figure I'd get some opinions before I go wasting my cash.

Truck's a 99 Ram and recently the reverse started going out.

It started out as a delay whenever I'd put it in reverse and over time it progressed up to the point where I'd have to get it up to 3-4k rpm before it would finally lock in and reverse.

A couple days ago it just went out completely. Any ideas as to what's up? Drive, 1st, and 2nd all work fine, just looks like the reverse went out.
