Default Jet performance

i am looking to buy a jet performance 9002s stage 2 chip for my 97 dodge ram 1500 360 magnum. Has anyone here used one of these befor and wht did u thinck of it?

I have not used one, but, 99.9 % of people here that have will tell you it's junk. IIRC, the OEM PCM will re learn the settings the Jet provides , and you're back to stock.

It's very possible they fixed that. But I wouldn't take the chance and waste the money. Look at Hypertech, they may still have something for a 97. And from what I hear, the Super Chips might work on certain late 97's. I would call both of the vendors if I was you. You never know.

a lot of complaints have been posted about the Jet. it bolts on inline with the wiring harness on the pcm, and most of the complaints are about it pulling loose, and breaking off, etc. also complaints about pinging, but that could be related to plenum leak. its not a popular product. i'd avoid it unless you can get one dirt cheap, like $50.
