Understatement of the Century! I'd say 90% of the trucks ON THIS FORUM never make it off-road.

Yeah, I guess so then. What you fail to realize is that these are trucks. Let me say it again T-R-U-C-K-S! That means that these things are built for work, not the Baja 500. So while they dont get "off-road" in the way you like, they do.

I was told too that Dodges weren't worth a damn in racing offroad because of their weight. I mean, in my opinion, this has no direct toward anybody, by the time you install a $5000 Kore kit with no racing potential, you'll spend even more stripping, fiberglassing, and rebuilding to even GIVE it potential. I think the only true offroad racers are the smaller midsize trucks that are light and agile enough to truly be fast and furious. Just my opinion. And about 3" of lift is about the maximum lift that a 2WD can pull off without looking retarded. I saw one with a 3" lift spring, 3" lift spindle, and a 3" body lift, that just looked....horrible. Lol.

Most of us don't need to spend thousands of dollars on a kore or carli suspension system. For lots of us companies such as Fabtech, BDS, Skyjacker, and Rancho all handle great off-road and on the street...can't really say that a kore or carli set up is going to do that for you. But you are correct that the truck scene will never make everyone happy, theres just to much you can do with them. We should all just sell our trucks and buy civics, then everyone mod them the same way like everyone elce with a civic mods them!
Your taking my statement as an attack. What Im calling out in my post is all these 4x4 gas powered truck owners who go around saying you dont own a real truck because its a lifted 2wd. These owners who do this merely just have a leveling kit or something of that nature to go with their 4x4. If they are set on a so called real truck well first start with purchasing a diesel. A truck is a real truck regradles if its a 2wd, 4wd, gas, diesel, lifted, lowered and suspension brand. Hell, I even heard a truck equipped with leather interior classifieds you as not having a real truck. Omg, when will it ever end?

Yes, Im a 7" lifted 2wd ( No not 1wd. My truck came with a lsd unit straight from the factory). I like to sit up high and know that I will be more safe in an accident if a car hits me or vise versa.

How can a lifted a 2wd look horrible? There is no distinguishing factors between a 4x4 lifted and a 2wd lifted other than looking underneath it.

Good thing Walker Evans never felt that way.
