Default Rear axle fill plug question

Has anyone seen a thread in fill plug replacement for the junk rubber plugs that Dodge put in our trucks?

Thanks,
Will

Nope, you don't really need one as the gear oil shouldn't be filled over the lip of the fill plug anyhow. If your plug's bad try grabbing one from a junk yard or call the dealer or try LMC truck and see if they stock it.

Has a new plug and it leaked from the day it was put in. You know I just thought, I bet my vent is plugged. I park on a sloped driveway and it always leaks, on the slope the fluid is over the lip.

Thanks,
Will

sounds like its the wrong rubber plug.
i'd try another one, from the dealer. it couldn't cost more than $2-3.

if you really want a screw in plug, remove the cover and weld in a nut on the back.

I'll try that also, I think the one that's in it is from Car Quest.

Thanks,
Will
