Default New tranny now truck misses at steady throttle?????

Just had the tranny rebuilt by a friend of mine who does good work, works/shifts awesome.. now the truck is missing and sometimes running bad..lacking power as well. Replaced the crank sensor and a little better but not yet fixed.. Have had thebefore cat front o2 sensor code for a while, could this make the truck miss.. Runs fine when you hammer it..

thanks for all the help

The o2 sensor can cause that, but since we don't even know what year your ride is, I'll go with plenum gasket, and probably cat being no good.

And btw, is it missing or is the rpm jumping up and down?

It could be the O2 sensor.

When the computer goes into open loop mode (during warm-up and when you hammer the pedal), it ignores the O2 sensor(s). When its in closed loop mode, it "listens" to the pre-cat O2 sensor(s), and adjusts the air/fuel mixture accordingly. If the sensor is bad, or giving false info, the computer will be improperly adjusting the mixture, which may cause a misfire.

But like zman said, a little more info would help us out. Maybe even create a signature with all of it in there.

nTruck is defenatly missing..no power, backfire through exaust the whole 9 yards, when you tramp on it, seems to work ok..still seems like not much power though.

Anything will run better when you hammer the gas. Gotta give more specific details so we can help you.

basically truck runs perfect at warm up, usually half way to town temp guage is about 1/4 way up and it will act up, missfire/backfire, if i gas it it clears(open loop) I replaced the crank sensor thinking it was that and the truck ran a bit better but still gets the symptom..Funny thing is is that i have had the p0132 code for some time now with no obvious problems, as soon as i get the truck back from the tranny guy, things are acting up..Anyway i should have the cat checked to see if its not plugged and replace the front o2 sensor..

thanks, i'll let you know

thanks

1.. "if I gas it, it clears" - not a cat problem. A bad(clogged) cat would not allow you to punch it.

2. "ran fine until I got it back from tranny guy" - check the 02 sensors and wires. they have to come out to remove the tranny
