Default Trac Bar Issue

I have been trying to diagnose my steering problem for a while now and I have just found something weird going on with my trac bar. When the steering wheel is rocked back and forth, you can actually see the trac bar raise up on the end that is connected to the body. The trac bar moves up a good 1/2" when the wheel is rocked. The 1/2" of play is in the joint of the trac bar it seems. Any input? Trac bar shot? Thanks

Would you recommend Luke's Link rebuild kit or a whole new trac bar?

Thanks.

New trac-bar. what size tires do you run? Have you ever thought about getting a steering stabilizer?

New track bar...well, guess that depends. Is it stock and if so will you ever (or is it) lift it? If the first is yes and the latter is no then perhaps a Lukes link or a Lindstad end is the ticket. Personally with a 2500 I'd install a Thuren Bar. Not cheap but it will outlast your truck and allow you to center your axle with up to 3" of lift.

stock truck, no lift, no plan to lift, just looking for a fix. i run 285/75/16 tires and have just replaced all shocks and steering stabilizer. should i go lukes link or a new trac bar? and to be honest with you, im not trying to drop $300 on a thuren bar, as this is my secondary vehicle. if i bought a new trac bar, it would be a factory replacement. (my camaro is my money pit not my ram lol)
