Default 01 ram 2500 tire question

hows it going

I have a 2001 dodge ram 2500 quad cab. I just put a 2" level kit on it and I'm looking at tires. I picked up some 18x 10 rims off my buddy, not sure what the backspacing is. I am wondering if I can run 35's on it. readylift says I can run up to a 35 x 12.5 but it just seems like it will be very tight. any suggestions? i guess I could lift it if need be but I don't really want to. if someone could post pictures of their truck with the tire set up I'm looking at, that would be awesome

thanks

Doesn't anyone ever search in here? There must be a dozen "will it fit" threads going on already. A 35" tire is going to be tight with just a 2" leveling kit and I'd expect it to rub on full lock. Depending on the rim back-spacing you might rub sooner. 33" is about max with no rubbing for that setup. While it might clear sitting still in your driveway, you may not discover a problem until you go offroad and compress the suspension on one side with the wheel turned and promptly rip your fender off. This is what too many modders forget when lifting their trucks for big rubber.

is your a 4x4? if so you should have no problem, but if not your gonna be coming real close with that 2" lvl kit. I used to run 35's on my 1500, but i have the off road edition

it is a 4x4. Im not sure on the off road package but I do know that the 2500's sat about as high as the 1500's with the off road package

This is the front of my 2500 before and after the 2" leveling kit:

My tires are 31-1/4" tall. I don't think I'd risk 35" tires on this setup. 33s will probably fit just fine.

If you have 3.55 gears it is going to suck!
