Front inner axle seals , anyone ?
For future reference, the roll pin in the diff carrier that retains the cross shaft only goes 1 direction, from the ring gear side out the driver side.
Once we got the cross shaft in the diff pulled it was smooth sailing. The Dana 60 is clearly different than the Dana 44. The housing opening even looks slightly smaller.
For those having trouble pressing in the passenger side seal, we used 5/8" all thread and I cut a washer out of 1/4" plate the correct size for the seal, then we just placed a cap over the outer end of the axle and turned the nut until it pressed the seal in place... much easier than trying to use a slide hammer!
